Polka-Dot Love

I have always loved polka-dots. Always. When I was pregnant with Caleb, I decided to go with a polka-dot nursery theme. Then my little boy was born and at 6 weeks old, he started to become polka-dotted!

Caleb was born with Urticaria Pigmentosa, a form of Mastocytosis. Yes, I know that's a bunch of long, crazy words! Basically, he has too many mast cells in his body and they can make him sick. Luckily, Caleb doesn't get sick often, but he is very spotted- from head to toe! He is often confused with a child who has chicken pox. We get dirty looks, parents rush their kids away, and bad comments. He isn't contagious at all, just spotted.
