DIY Barefoot Sandals

Summertime=barefoot heaven! I'm not a big fan of shoes on Ella yet, but needed a way to dress up her adorable little feet if she's wearing a nice outfit. I found a lot of tutorials on Pinterest for making barefoot sandals, but most involved sewing. I needed something easy, cheap, and no-sew and came across this tutorial. Perfect! I gathered my supplies and got shoe-making! The project took about 5 minutes and cost about $10 for a ton of different options.

Elastic, Hot Glue Gun & Glue, Scissors, Velcro, Decorative Flowers

I found this tub of flowers in the scrapbooking section at Michaels. It has a ton of colors and sizes, so I could make flowers for shoes and headbands. I used a 50% off coupon so it was $5!

Cut a length of the fabric.
Form a figure 8 around your baby's ankle and foot. Cut elastic shorter if needed and glue figure 8 together in center. Glue a piece of velcro onto the elastic, and other piece of velcro onto flower.

I quickly made up a headband with velcro so I can interchange flowers for different outfits and have a matching set. So easy and cute!
I attached velcro to a ton of flowers from the Michaels tin and am ready to go for any outfit!
Ella's adorable feet all decked out in her new shoes! So cute!
She loved them and kept smiling and staring at them all day!
