Cinnamon Honey Butter

Cinnamon Honey Butter

Today, I had to stay home with two sick little boys :(  Both of my younger boys had fevers today. Fevers...but still hearty appetites! When they were whining for breakfast, and refusing cereal, I decided to just bake some Grands biscuits to save time. Usually, we just put jelly on them, but I wanted something different. I remembered seeing copycat recipes for Texas Roadhouse butter. While searching for that, I stumbled across a version with honey in it. YUM! I LOVE honey butter! So I quickly whipped up a batch. The original blogger made a big batch, but I needed just enough for 8 biscuits. The recipe below is for the small batch. If you would like to make more, or can them as wonderful gifts, see her blog here.

You will need:
1/4 cup softened butter
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon

Make it:
Whip the butter until creamy
Add in other ingredients and mix
Enjoy!!

My Opinion:
Heavenly! I LOVED this stuff! It would make a wonderful gift for Christmas! So, go make this ASAP!

2 Ingredient Pumpkin Cookies

Two Ingredient Pumpkin Cookies

Things I like to pin lately? Easy, few ingredient recipes. By the time I get home from work, I am exhausted! But, I still have my sweet tooth! So, looking around Pinterest, I found this simple 2 ingredient pumpkin recipe. It looked so yummy, I knew I had to make it right away!

You will need:
1 Box of Spice Cake Mix
1 (15 oz) can of Pumpkin

That's it! You can make or buy some cream cheese frosting if you like, to top these with. I bought a can, and it makes it so yummy!

Make it:
Mix the cake mix and pumpkin together
Place rounded spoonfuls on a greased cookie sheet
Bake at 350 for 13-15 minutes
Cool and top with frosting, if desired

My Opinion:
The kids LOVED these "cookies"! I put the quotations around cookie because they aren't like a cookie much at all. Although yummy, they are very much like a muffin or cupcake. I had to eat mine with a fork and plate. They are so spongy and moist, they crumble easy in your hands. If you are looking for a simple, delicious dessert, this is a good choice. Next time, I will make them as muffins in a cupcake liner.

Enjoy!

We're back!

Miss us? It was a crazy busy summer, so Beth and I weren't able to post anything all season! Between an incredibly busy season at work (and long hours there!), taking care of the kids, vacations, sports, etc- we didn't get on Pinterest very much.

Now, we are back to normal life (um, is there such a thing?)- kids are in school (our babies started preschool!), work is slowing down, and we are back to Pinning.

What's new with us? Beth is continuing her house renovations. They started to build a new deck this year. She and Jeff also purchased a new camper, so they are able to take the kids camping a lot more often. The kids are both in school, and Bri is in dance again. The kids are growing fast! They're so adorable :)

Me? Same ol', same ol'. My kids are all in school also. I have one in middle, one in elementary, and one in preschool! Ethan started gymnastics and boy scouts. Jason has been busy working and working out (he loves it). Um, that's about all...
Except for the big news that we are expecting again! We are having a baby in March! We're so excited :) Be on the look-out for our future pins, especially the gender reveal party in 2 weeks!

So, we look forward to more cooking, baking, crafting, etc. And sharing our adventures with you all!
