Homemade Jewelry Cleaner

A friend pinned a homemade jewelry cleaner and I immediately knew I needed to make this! My jewelry was DIRTY! Okay, dirty was an understatement! I have bought the store kind of cleaner that you dip your jewelry in, but they never worked good. I am embarrassed to even show you all my before pics, but wanted you to see how great the cleaner is!

Before. Lots of soap scum built up. You can see the black on the ring...yuck!

  • 1 tbsp each: salt, baking soda, dish soap
  • 1 cup water
  • Piece of foil and a bowl
Put the foil in the bowl

Heat the water for 2 minutes. Add salt, soda, soap.
Pour mix in bowl and put jewelry in. Let it sit 10 minutes and rinse in warm water (I did scrub a little with an old toothbrush before rinsing). Dry well
Much better! Not jewelry-store super clean but a million times better!
