Grilled Cheesy Potatoes

Cheese + Potatoes = Pure heaven for me! Two of my favorite foods combined! This isn't a Pinterest find- it is a summertime staple in our household. Every BBQ includes yummy cheesy potatoes. Hope you enjoy them as much as we do!

  • Potatoes, washed (I use gold or yellow and leave skin on)
  • Shredded Mild Cheddar
  • Garlic Salt
  • Pepper
  • Butter (I use Spray Butter)
  • Onion (optional. I put them in mine, not in hubby's)
  • Foil

Chop onions and cut potatoes in bite-size pieces
(Love my orange stained cutting board? LOL!)

Tear some foil off and spray with non-stick cooking spray
Place potatoes and onion on
Spray with butter (if not using spray butter, put a few pats of butter on top). Season with garlic salt and pepper, to taste.
Doesn't this look heavenly, as is? YUM!

Seal the potatoes up into a foil packet
Have your handsome hubby put the packets on to the grill so you can take pictures :)
Grill about 40 minutes (flip halfway) until fork tender
Put some cheese on potatoes and seal packet back up. Cook 5-10 more minutes

*I'm still not very good at taking photos of food, but when I go back and look at pics I took when we first started this blog- I can see slow improvement. I re-photographed the potatoes in May 2013, after seeing how unappealing the potatoes looked in my original pics (the tutorial ones and one below). The first pic and one above are new ones :) Still a long way to go, but practice helps me learn more!
