The BEST caramel apple dip!

My to-do list this week included bringing a non-chocolate dessert to a dinner I was throwing. Hmmm....I have several go-to recipes that I love, but I was eager to bring something new as well. I already made a batch of my Cake Truffles (yum!) to bring, but headed to Pinterest to find something new.
After pinning a ton of yummy-looking desserts, I came across this Caramel Apple Dip. Score! It had my favorite elements of a dessert- very few ingredients, easy to do, and included CARAMEL! I L.O.V.E. anything caramel-related! Well, except the arguments my father-in-law and I have over the pronunciation ( I saw Car-mull, he says Care-a-mel. Tomato, toemato- it still is delicious!).



Anyway, you will need the following-
8oz cream cheese (softened)
2 tbsp brown sugar
Apples, sliced
(yes, mine look brown in the pic. I even soaked them in Sprite, but still turned slightly)
Heath or Skor bar crushed bits
(in baking aisle, by chocolate chips)

I doubled the recipe and was a good amount. I actually didn't have a measuring spoon to measure out the brown sugar, so just poured some in and guessed :)

Beat the cream cheese and sugar together
Spread on a plate
Top with a layer of caramel
Finish off with a layer of Heath pieces
Dip sliced apples in
Sit back and let the worries of the world melt away....
